After having some time to catch our breath after the busy Christmas period we are back with a bang on Saturday 30th January. For the first time since the mid 1950's we will see Superstocks at the iconic Western Springs.
After rain, rain and more rain we have a very wet Western Springs race track! With the help of some sun and wind, our hard working track crew will be pulling out all the stops to get us up and racing by 6pm Monday 4th January.
Unfortunately with heavy track conditions from yesterdays rain and further thunderstorms forecast for today the meeting tonight has been postponed until tomorrow (Monday 4th) at 6pm. This meeting will include a 50 Lap Midget Feature.
Due to the rain the meeting tonight has been postponed until 3rd January at 5pm. The meeting for Monday 4th January will run on Tuesday 5th if tomorrow nights meeting goes ahead.
December 28th produced some spectacular action across all the divisions, not the least of which in the TQ's with the BT 30 running clean for around 24 laps then going crazy for the last 6!
Boxing night provided plenty of action and some spectacular racing across all the classes. Levi Sherwood and his crew caught everyone's attention with a gravity defying display that has to be seen to be believed.
Boxing night launches the first of four great nights of Speedway action at The Springs. FMX Star Levi Sherwood will open the show - featuring round one of the Midget Grand Slam Series culminating with the 30 Lap Feature.
Round Two of the BT Memorial Midget Car Series roared into Hawkes Bays Meeanee Speedway last Saturday night. After a couple of late defections due to previous mechanical problems 20 cars started the night.
