Saturday 2nd January 2021

December 28th produced some spectacular action across all the divisions, not the least of which in the TQ’s with the BT 30 running clean for around 24 laps then going crazy for the last 6! Congratulations to the winner Jakeb LeCren, he showed a calm nerve and some smooth skills to hit the front then hang on to take a great victory.

A big thank you to Graham Drummond for backing the inaugural BT 30, this event will only grow from here.

The weather gods are looking a little threatening over the next few days so let’s hope all the dire predictions are wrong.

We have a really full programme for Saturday 2nd January featuring Midget teams racing –

North - Williams, McGill and Brunt

South - Lumsden, Low and Webb

Auckland - Pickens, Baker and Guilford

The Steve Williams Saloon Speedweek tour which has been getting rave reviews all over the North Island arrives for one night.

For the Sprintcars it is the J.A. Russell Silver Crown run over 25 laps.

It’s the return of Mr 100% Graham Standring for a final Midget car performance. For those who have been tracking this story on our Facebook page, you will have seen just how much effort goes into just getting a car and driver ready to race.

Then finally the SAS Reverse Grid Challenge sees the 40 Lap Midget main event run with the fastest cars starting from the rear of the grid.

If we are hit by bad weather on Saturday, then Sunday 3rd January is our next scheduled rain date with an earlier start time of 5pm - gates opening at 3pm.
