Welcome everyone to Western Springs 2020.
I am sure many of you are wondering why you haven't heard more from us already but I can assure you the new team have been working flat out behind the scenes since August 1st when we finally got the green light to kick into action.
Unlike club run Speedways that may have a change of President or Committee but the structure remains in place, this change of promotion is like launching a whole new track, something that has not happened in NZ for a very long time.
With a delay in the original tender process followed by two rounds of Auckland lock-downs we are certainly starting behind the eight ball and under plenty of time pressure.
However, we are all very excited by the new era of Speedway at Western Springs. The previous Promoters have done a fantastic job, they continually raised the bar and established Western Springs as one of the premier Speedways on the world stage. It is our intention to build on this solid base while providing a fair and fun environment for all competitors, owners, fans and sponsors.
