After a week of being glued to the Covid map we are all set to roll with the 79th running of the New Zealand Midget Championship.
Thirty drivers will race for two nights over 15 heats and a last chance race to determine the starting grid for a one off "winner takes all 30 Lap Feature".
Will we crown a new champion on Sunday night or will Michael Pickens secure midget title number 10 and also become the first person to hold titles in two divisions in the same season, having already locked away the NZ Sprintcar title earlier this season.
Racing starts at 6pm Saturday and the earlier time of 5pm Sunday.
Sundays racing should be all wrapped up by a little after 9pm so not too late for a school night.
