With things continuing to take shape at the Stadium we are getting ready for our second practice this Saturday starting at 2pm.
We are continuing to work alongside RFA to get the Stadium infrastructure completed. The new town end toilet block is due to be commissioned next week along with the new ticket boxes at the main entrance on Stadium Road.
At last count we had over 100 competitors licensed to Western Springs and a number of other competitors licensed out of Auckland but committed to running at all Western Springs shows.
Coming on board as commercial partners alongside our already established partners - Porter Group, Daltons, United Trucks and Midas - are Salters Cartage, Penrite Oils, Racer Products, Greenway and Washworld Wairau.
Speedway returns to Free to Air TV this season on TV3 CRC Motorsport show Sundays at 2pm. In a change from previous years we are looking to produce a more magazine style show as compared to a replay of Saturday night’s meeting. Highlights from all Western Springs classes and special features from other
tracks will be included in the show.
We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday to grab a small sample of the Speedway action that is set to roar full speed from Opening Night November 7th at the world-famous Western Springs ¼ mile dirt track!
